The building was established to the proof of relativity theory on behalf of the Einstein donation for spectrum-analysis research, in particular, and taken 1924 in enterprise. The Coelostat in the dome reflects the jets of cosmic sources of light by the tower perpendicularly into the underground laboratory. Here it led around 45° of bent mirrors to the instruments for production and comparative measurement of the spectra. The execution of the tower was originally in reinforced concrete intended, taken place then however in brickwork. Remarkably the equipment of the work spaces with furniture after draft of Mendelsohn.
