Externally, the Museum het Valkhof in Nijmegen is a hideous huge green glasshouse, completely devoid of any relieving features, placed with crass insensitivity in a picturesque historic area, which it rapes with its brutal, intimidating presence. It is a perfect example of Dutch 'Terminal Clinic Style' - tasteless, sterile, characterless, soulless, uninspired, and uninspiring.
