Located on the edge of downtown Singapore, the Ardmore Condominiums represent Singapore's »compact version« of Safdie's original Habitat designed for Expo '67. The project consists of two seventeen-story towers which contain thirty-two middle-income and luxury housing units, each averaging 3500 sqft. Typical floors are arranged in an alternating pattern of single story flats and two-story maisonette units, forming a richly varied and multidirectional facade. Maisonette units feature a two-story atrium area and all units open on to generous roof terraces. Constructed separately in two phases, the towers are linked at grade by landscaped gardens, squash courts and a swimming pool.
