Lifting itself among the surrounding spires is the 186-foot copper-clad spire of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, providing a magnificent skyline addition. Four features of the congregation's 1904 sanctuary are incorporated into the new building: the bell, the Holtkamp organ which was rebuilt in 1989, the oval marble altar top and the stained glass window of Christ in Gethsemane.
