An aerial view of Lincoln School would be a square within a circle within a square. In the center the independent multi-purpose room is constructed of tongue-and-groove birch walls with laminated wood beams and columns. In September 1967, Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson, wife of then President Johnson, on her »Crossroads U.S.A.« tour commemorated her visit to Columbus by dedicating a plaque at the entrance to the school.
