»Living Tomorrow« is a built vision for the house and office of the future. The Amsterdam architectural firm UN Studio designed this eye-catching building. In the house and office of the future companies can have their latest products tested by visitors. The consumer is shown quite realistically how we will live and work in the future. Living Tomorrow will, among other things, feature intelligent climate control, a kitchen with an automatic waste separation system and a system for re-using rain water. The building is made up of two tubes. The 50-meter-long horizontal tube has a vertical tube at its end. If you use your imagination, the two buildings resemble a boot. The vertical »leg« houses the office of the future with a meeting room with high-tech gadgets and communication equipment. The kitchen and living quarters of the future are located in the horizontal »foot« of the boot, as are the auditorium and the event hall. The Dutch Dommelsch brand of beer developed the Cafe of the Future. The cafe is a part of the Living Tomorrow concept. The cafe is like a chameleon which assumes several appearances. During the coffee concept the focus is on luxury. The next stage is lunch, during which you may put together your own menu. In the afternoons the emphasis is on meetings and enjoying a drink. At nightfall the cafe is turned into a restaurant. After dinner you can enjoy a dance. The interactive screens allow you to talk to one another via the monitors.
