Polk County Science Building, completed in 1958, was the last of Wright's buildings to be constructed on the campus. Built at a cost of over one million dollars, the structure contains the only planetarium Frank Lloyd Wright designed that was constructed. The building's long low profile exemplifies Wright's organic architecture. The structure also contains the first use of aluminum for aesthetic purposes.
