Two bright-red bridges for pedestrians and cyclists link the peninsulas of Borneo and Sporenburg in the Eastern Docklands.
The two steel bridges span the 93-meter-wide Spoorwegbassin (Railroad Basin) and link the peninsulas of Borneo and Sporenburg. The central, low bridge is for cyclists and people with disabilities, while the high bridge allows pleasure craft access to the harbor.
The bridges are veritable works of art with their bending and receding railings. The highest bridge is quite spectacularly shaped. It twists meters up into the air, very much like a snake, and is nicknamed the Anaconda Bridge.
