Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
The collection holds over 800 drawings, notes and photographs by and related to the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the most important holding of his work outside of Museum of Modern Art, New York. While most of this material relates to Mies' practice and teaching in the United States there are important drawings for his career in Germany. These include 8 drawings for the Dexel House, 2 conceptual sketches for the second Friedrichstrasse competition, and studies for Hubbe House, Mountain House, court houses and furniture. Also of note are 5 photographs by Howard Dearstyne of the Karl Lemke House, Berlin.

Saarinen's work is represented in over 800 drawings, prints, photographs, and a 16mm film for the following projects dated 1955 - 1964: American Embassy, London, American Embassy, Oslo, Ingalls Hockey Rink, Yale University, New Haven, John Deer Headquarters, Moline (Ill.), Airport, Athens, CBS Building, New York, and with Charles Eames, IBM Exhibition Pavilion, NY World's Fair.

the archive comprises over 40,000 drawings, prints, and models, extensive photographic records, and some 150 linear feet of documents for 105 projects spanning the entire career from 1950 to 1992, from student work and seminal projects such as Leicester University and Cambridge History Faculty, to such key mid-career works as Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart and Olivetti, Milton Keynes. The archive is particularly rich in late works, for instance: United States - Sackler Gallery, Rice University, Germany - Braun, Melsungen, England - Tate Gallery, No 1 Poultry.
Le Corbusier
The CCA's Le Corbusier collection is the most important such holding outside of France. It consists of over 1,000 drawings, photographs, documents and a model ranging in date from 1911 to 1965 and includes travel sketches, lecture notes and correspondence, notably that with Marguerite Tjader-Harris concerning the Unité de Vacance. Important material by Le Corbusier from before 1950 includes 5 drawings for the League of Nations competition and 2 studies for the monument to Paul Vaillant-Couturier. The bulk of the collection concerns projects after 1950. It includes over 100 prints, documents, photos and a model for Villa Chimanbhai at Ahmedabad, India (1951-54). There is material for most projects after 1958, including Baghdad Olympic Stadium, Brazilia (French Chancery and Ambassador's Residence), Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, Chandigarh (Assembly Building, Knowledge Museum, Open Hand Monument), Firminy, Museum of the Twentieth Century, Nanterre, RHO Olivetti Centre for Electronic Processing, Milan, Orsay (Hotel and Congress Centre), Ronchamp, Stockholm (Ahrenberg Pavilion), Strasbourg (Congress Centre), and Zurichhorn (Exhibition Pavilion). Also of note are copies of the Nivola sketchbooks, over 100 studies for housing prototypes, and a large selection of photographs by Lucien Hervé of studio models and site works.
Jacobus Johannes Pieter Oud
collection of over 600 drawings and prints by J.J.P. Oud covers the breadth of his career from 1911 to 1957 and includes important material for such major projects as Villa Alagonda, Kiefhoek Housing Estate, Rotterdam Exchange, Hotel at Brno, Church at Kiefhoek, Johnson House, Shell Building, Rotterdam Hofplein, School and Convention Centre, The Hague.

an archive of over 50,000 drawings, prints, models, photographs and 130 linear feet of documents for 150 projects covering Eisenman's practice from the late-1950s to 1998, and incorporating student work and all material, including conceptual and design development drawings, for Houses I through 11A; House El Even Odd; Fin d'Ou T Hou S; House of Cards; Guardiola House; Romeo & Juliet; International Seminary of Design for Cannaregio-West; Kochstrasse/Friedrichstrasse competition; University Art Museum, California State University, Long Beach; Parc de la Villette; Wexner Center for the Visual Arts; Cities of Artificial Excavation, CCA exhibition installation; Aronoff Center for Design and Art, University of Cincinnati; Nunotani Corporation Headquarters; Greater Columbus Convention Center; Emory University Center for the Arts; Max Reinhardt Haus; and the Holocaust Memorial competition, Vienna.

The CCA's collection of Die gläserne Kette correspondence and of drawings, prints and photographs related to the work of its members (Hermann Finsterlin, Paul Goesch, Wenzel Hablik, Carl Krayl, Bruno + Max Taut) is the largest of its kind outside of Europe. Particularly important are more than 200 drawings by Paul Goesch.
